Nintendo Revolution

I haven’t owned a game console since the Super Nintendo. But the Nintendo Revolution Wii actually looks like a fun way to waste time. Mostly because it reminds me of my fond memories of hours spent playing the original Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, and Zelda. It will not only have new versions of each of these games, but you’ll also be able to play the originals on the system. And of course the fact that, unlike the PS3 and the XBox 360, you don’t have to sell a kidney to afford one, makes it reasonable for those of us that don’t obsess over video games. My only serious hesitation is that playing the Wii apparently makes you look really goofy. (photos from the official Wii website.)

The Nintendo Wii's Success

The secret to the Nintendo Wii's success is that the game has been designed and marketed with family's in mind. From the very start the Wii had to be family friendly. The Wii has achieved what many game consoles failed to do before it. The whole family enjoys the game. Dads, moms, grandparents and children. The Wii has found a way to bridge the generation gap.

If you bundle the items in packages it will save a lot of money. Compared to buying individual games packages are much cheaper. Sometimes free accesories are used as a motivation for buying packages.

Make Copies Of Your Wii Games

I just read a very good article about protecting Wii games. Games for the Nintendo Wii are not cheap they start at about 60.00 bucks. So taking steps to protect them makes sense.

Make copies of your Wii games and keep the originals in a safe place. Blank discs are very cheap and you can usually copy your entire collection in a very short time.

The free software to copy games is unreliable or simply just doesn't work. The best way to copy Wii games is to get software that is made with that purpose in mind.

Nintendo Wii Troubleshooting

Nintendo Wii troubleshooting is a very easy process to go through. A product is only worth the purchase price if the support department is easy to deal with. One of the biggest complaints from people when in possession of a new device is that customer support is simply not there.

I'll have to say that the support from the Wii staff is first rate. They seem to take great pride in making sure I am happy with my purchase and that I have very few problems after the sale. It does not seem to matter if I am ordering accessories or getting replacement parts or just simply when I needed help just getting the system set up.

I can expect updates on my Wii as they come available. If a lot of people complain or make suggestions about changes then those changes will be implemented. That means I did not spend my money on a game that will be outdated in a year.

After two years it is rumored that Sony is trying to mimic Nintendo's style again, their first attempt didn't turn out well. A small group of PS3 owners got to try out the new system. Participants enjoyed minigames such as tennis, fencing and paintball. Apparently theres still many kinks that need to be worked out, as the device is right now dependent upon a very large tripod.
